This Spring Break is going to be a unique time for IGA. A total of five teachers and eleven students will endeavor on a Spring Service Project in Romania and Bulgaria. This is the first time that IGA is sending a body of students overseas for the sole purpose of volunteer service.
The students had to fill out an application form and have an interview for examination. After this the students were chosen, according to their wish, to go to either Romania or Bulgaria. Now the students will undergo training and raise support for themselves so that they can go.
As part of the service project the Romanian team will be staying mostly in Timisoara doing service work for the children and elderly, there’s also the possibility for manual labor work during the stay. The Bulgarian team will be staying in Razgraad and helping start a youth group there. They will also have other options of service for the children and elderly and manual labor.
Hopefully this project will be successful and conducted in the future again. It’ll also be an opportunity for the students to grown closer to God and also each other.
