On Wednesday night, a head-on car crash at Nato Yolu claimed the life of one and injured another. The driven by a drunk was on the wrong side of the lane before if crashed into the bus. Ozan Alparslan(19), the drunk driver, was killed instantly on impact.
Police has revealed that Mr. Alparslan was drunk when he was driving; this accounts for his bizarre action of driving on the wrong side of the lane. Miraculously he was able to get to Nato Yolu in Çengelköy without any inspections or accidents. However, his luck ran out when he was not able to avoid the oncoming bus.
The bus driver, Cem Bayır, commented, "I saw him coming and tried to avoid the accident by switching to the left lane. Unfortunately, the Renault driver also changed lanes and drove straight into me."
Mr. Alparslan crashed into his windshield which killed him immediately. Mr. Bayır got a broken arm from the accident. Mr. Bayır is currently in being treated for his injury in Medicana hospital.
